
Road Trip anyone? Nothing like a fresh car rental and a 5 hour road trip with the family. Now the panic sets in. You have been on this 5k Fin-Physique Challenge for 5 months and have had ups and down but are you ready for a different setting with limitless temptation? Yes you are. Here's 3 things you need to do to have fun but stay on track. Number one, have an endless supply of healthy snacks. Some great choices can be, trail mix, granola bar, slices fruit/veggies, mini peanut butter cups, tuna, rice cakes and raisins. These foods are high in protein and fiber. They will provide plenty of energy and are extremely filling. Number two, ask your travel group to hold you accountable, if they see you are on your 5th margarita, make sure someone knows to sound the alarm. “Having an accountability person or group gives you that extra ‘oomph’ of encouragement and motivation to get your workouts in,” says Team Beachbody Coach Amy Rada. Number three, did someone say margaritas? Yes, I did. Now what's a round trip without a few drinks to spark up the mood. All you have to do is drink in moderation to your calorie intake. For example, if you are hitting the local bar, be sure you had a light breakfast, heavy lunch and light dinner. This good be an acai bowl for breakfast, a grill chicken sandwich for lunch and a seafood salad for dinner. This allows your body to have some rooms for 2 or 3 margaritas. The road to fitness doesn't have to be a life of deprivation. We all need a little R & R, especially during these trying times. Take my advise and plan according and have fun.
